Amazon has a live event today, which has been ablaze with the launch news online. With good reason too, as Amazon was expected to announce it's addition to the tablet realm with their Amazon Android tablet. They did not disappoint, as they announced the $199 Kindle Fire you see above. It's a 7 inch tablet, running Android (looks to be 2,3 Gingerbread), has a Gorilla Glass touchscreen with 16 million colors, and built in Wi-Fi. There's no camera or microphone in this tablet, so if that's what you need, you'll need to look at other tablet devices. Still, Amazon's $199 price tag makes this a very attractive tablet.

Amazon also went on with a few more announcements, with the launch of a few more Kindle devices. The $79 Kindle is a bit smaller than it's older brothers previously released, and only weighs in at 5.98 oz. It also no longer has the keyboard at the bottom, but rather has a few navigational buttons to get you around. It's available now and ships today.

The next device announced was the Amazon Kindle Touch, which as you guessed it, is a touchscreen Kindle, just a bit bigger than the $79 Kindle. The Kindle Touch has 3 main touch zones for navigation. Tap the left side of the screen to go back a page, tap the middle for the main menu, and tap the right side to go to the next page. Simple right? Right, and at $99, it's a steal of a deal for anyone looking to buy an e-reader. This will hopefully cause Kobo and Barnes & Noble to reduce the cost of their e-readers as well. Pre-order available now and ships November 21st.

The last device Amazon announced is the same as the Kindle Touch, called the Kindle Touch 3G. As you can imagine, cause nothing gets past us, this model has built in 3G. Best part of this is that is also includes "Free 3G" meaning that you have free online data connection with your Kindle Touch 3G in over 100 countries worldwide, with no annual contract and no data plan to worry about. It's free. Very cool! This is on pre-order now, and ships November 21st as well.
