Apple Will Release 7.85inch iPad 'Mini' In Q4 Says Samsung

Since the launch of the wildly successful new iPad (3rd generation) from Apple, we've heard about their delivery and shipping days being advanced forward. This is due to the huge consumer demand and Apple selling out of their first launch supply within the first 48 hours of pre-order availability. One of the main reasons we aren't seeing the supplies replenished to keep up with the demand is that Sharp and LG, makers of the 2048 x 1536 resolution Retina display, are unable to keep up.

In order for Apple to get supplies back up to par for the demand and launch in other countries worldwide this week, Samsung has been asked to continue making the displays for the new iPad.

We've heard in the past about rumors regarding whether Apple will launch an 8inch iPad 'Mini' to compete with the success of smaller tablets like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 and the Amazon Kindle Fire. Now we have word from an unnamed Samsung official to the Korea Times that we will in fact see an Apple iPad Mini by Q4 of 2012. The tablet from Apple will be 7.85 inches in display size. Samsung is a large supplier of Apple hardware and parts for their mobile devices, including the iPad.

We'll have to wait and see how this latest information pans out within the next few months.
