Apple's New iPad Delivery Dates Now Show 2 - 3 Weeks Out
Hoping to get your hands on a new iPad soon? New iPad shipping dates are being postponed for pre-ordered 3rd generation iPads. Apple had sold out of their first quantity, available shortly after launching the new iPad last week. Since then, the delivery dates shown on Apple's website have apparently gotten further and further out from where they started at March 16th.
Now that we're into a new week, with pre-orders starting to become available in many more countries around the world, there appears to be increased strain on Apple's new iPad supply. Currently, if you were to pre-order the new iPad, you'll see that the Apple Store now shows an available date for shipping of "2 - 3 weeks" rather than a set date of March 19th.
The biggest reason is obviously how wildly successful the iPad is already, but an Apple spokesperson told CNET that "Customer response to the new iPad has been off the charts".
If you're looking to get your hands on a new iPad before 2 - 3 weeks from now, and haven't already pre-ordered one, you may want to bring your camping gear to the nearest Best Buy, Apple Store or Future Shop. The lines will be long!
