Last week, we heard that there may be delays with the release of the highly anticipated ASUS Transformer Prime Android tablet due to Wi-Fi not meeting ASUS standards. That was later reported to be false, and that ASUS was investigating the source of such rumors, and assured everyone that the Transformer Prime was in fact, still on schedule for a December 19th - 20th 2011 release. Canadian Retailer NCIX was the company who first received word about the delay, and began notifying their pre-order customers of the delay, but no other retailers said they had gotten any confirmation from ASUS. Until now.

Customers who pre-ordered the Transformer Prime were met with an email from Future Shop and Best Buy stating that they had in fact been given news from ASUS that there is a delay on the product shipment, with no word on when the tablet would ship out afterwards. Here's an email from a one such customer.
