Bing iPhone App to Hit App Store

PC World is reporting the Google-centric iPhone might get a little app bling via Microsoft's Bing. The PC-centric giant is prepping the app for immediate release through the iTune's App Store. The alternative might be a welcomed sight to those who aren't Google fan-boys.
According to the PC World article, the Bing app will be free and will act as a gateway to the service's Web search and other services some of which include map navigation, traffic details, a focus on local results, movie listings, weather and local business info. Web searching, news and recent queries will also be available, as well as the ability to search via voice, just like Google's app.
Another interesting feature of the app, which isn't included in the Google App, is the ability to open multiple tabs, pushpins for saving locations and multiple locations shown on a single map.
Microsoft is set to make the announcement via its Behind Bing blog Tuesday night and is sure to create a more competitive market for prime-real estate on iPhone users' home screen and featured search applications.
A Bing Mobile app is currently available for other devices, including the Blackberry, Windows Mobile, BREW and Sidekick cell phones.
