We've heard a fair bit of news regarding the BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 upgrade and whether it will be launched this week or next. When you start putting things together, it is obvious that Research In Motion is actually planning on delivering through their promises of PlayBook upgrades in February. As a tipster informed MobileSyrup, the latest PlayBook OS 2.0 is showing up within the new Best Buy flyer for Canadian stores, which is a sure sign that the upgrade is coming very soon. The link shown within the flyer is not public yet, but I suspect that when it goes live, the update will start popping up in PlayBook Notification corners around North America.

Another reason to believe that RIM is keeping their word is that the newest version of the BlackBerry Desktop Software has been rolling out to computers everywhere today, which also suggests RIM needed to ensure that the BB Desktop Software Client had to work flawlessly with the PlayBook update if users decided to upgrade by connecting their tablets to their computers. The BlackBerry Desktop Software beta 7 version released in late 2011 was the only version that would work to test Android apps for the BlackBerry PlayBook 2.0 beta developer software. Interesting hey?

On another note to keep the hype alive, Research In Motion stock (RIMM)saw stable movement today for the first time all week. Could it be because of the PlayBook update news? Most likely.Source - MobileSyrup
