Breaking: Apple's iCloud uses Windows Azure for Hosting Data
It was only a few days back when Apple released its iCloud services at the WWDC 2011.
With iCloud Beta already available to users and developers there is a lot of research going on by tech experts on this new service by Apple. Some experts at Ramomdpie found out that iCloud uses Windows Azure for hosting services. To give support to the above statement Ramondpie has also given a packet dump.

Guys at infinite Apple also say that they believe the iCloud does not store any data, rather it just manages links to the uploaded data.

Its not the first time that these two tech giants have worked together. Recently in 2008 Apple and microsoft worked together to bring exchange to the iPhone.
I believe that by outsourcing hosting services Apple is doing the right thing.Apple does not have much experience of hosting data (as big as iCloud would have) and by outsourcing the hosting part Apple can concentrate to work on its iCloud services and make their devices better.
While on the other hand with Microsoft would also be delighted to power such a huge Apple product keeping in mind that they are having some bad times with their handheld devices and tablets. The PC market share is also dropping.
So both companies have their share of benefit.
P.S. The iCloud service is in beta and this might change in future.
