Facebook App Center Is Now Open For Business
The competition for the best App Store out there in the market today is just getting started to heat up. And guess what? Social network giant Facebook can't resist the temptation and launched their own App Center last night carrying iOS, Android, and its own platform.
According to a report, the Facebook App Center opened with a stack of 600 apps already available to download for all app-loving consumers to enjoy.
In a press release statement last night Facebook had said:
"The App Center is launching tonight with more than 600 social apps, including Nike+, GPS, Ubisoft Ghost Recon Commander, Stitcher Radio, Draw Something, and Pinterest. Each person will have a personalized experience in the App Center, with recommendations based on the apps they and their friends use, whether that be games or fashion, food, fitness, travel, or other lifestyle apps. You'll only see high quality apps in the App Center, based on user ratings and engagement. The App Center is available on mobile via the Facebook apps for iOS and Android, or by accessing Facebook.com on mobile".
The Facebook App Center is available for use on your Android smartphones and tablets, as well as your iPhone and iPad. It's also available on desktop and can send apps directly to your phone, where you can then be redirected to the App Store or Google Play to download the app of your choice. The App Center also has guidelines for app developers on how they can get their app software advertise to Facebook users posted on the site.
With the new Facebook App Center, Facebook is now joining the ranks of Apple's App Store and Google's Google Play as the biggest and most popular app vendors in the world today.
