FoxNews Twitter Hacked

Contrary to Fox News Political tweets Monday morning, the United States' 235th Independence Day, President Obama is alive and well and enjoyed a good old American barbecue and fireworks display.
Six tweets, posted from the Fox News Politics account on Twitter, claimed that President Obama had been assassinated.
According to the New York Times, the tweets gave gruesome accounts of the President's alleged demise, and even went so far as to wish Vice President Joe Biden luck in his new position as President of the United States.
There was no truth to the tweets, and Fox News quickly released a statement that the account had been hacked.
Fox News removed the malicious statements from its feed and replaced them with a link to a Fox News website addressing the hacking. The U.S. Secret Service will investigate the source of the hacked account.
According to the Fox News website, Jeff Misenti, vice president of Fox News, said, "We will be requesting a detailed investigation from Twitter about how this occurred, and measures to prevent future unauthorized access into FoxNews.com accounts."
The Fox News site stated they regret any distress the false tweets may have caused.
Fox News Political has more than 38,000 followers and is often viewed as a right wing news source.
