Fundit Software: a Clearly Canadian Innovative Mobile Product
I recently had the privilege of interviewing Dave Ouellette, CEO and founder of Fundit Software; a relatively new yet amazingly innovative software company that is about the change the online marketing world for non profits and other charitable organizations.
Slated to be released within the next month, this software is a cross platform mobile fund raising and financial reporting application designed specifically for non profits.
It literally puts the ability for users to donate to a charity of their choice via mobile devices such as; a mobile phone.
What makes this product so unique is the cross platform design that has been incorporated. This new technology allows the application to avail itself on every current mobile platform.
During its' beta testing phase, the application worked successfully on all platforms except older versions of the blackberry. Overall, and incredible feat.
For charities, this application allows tracking of all donations, information and analysis of their supporter database. With this information, non profits will be able to create more target specific online and mobile marketing strategies.
For supporters of charities, this is a welcome application. Users can spread donations among numerous charities instead of simply helping only one, they can schedule reminders of when and who to donate to and even more impressive, they can keep records for tax purposes of the donations sent throughout the year.
While interviewing Dave, it became apparent to this writer that his vision for Fundit was not only to create an amazing application product but to offer an entire marketing community concept for non profits. He is creating an entire social community for non profits to exchange ideas, learn how to use the products more effectively and engage in hand to hand promotional exchanges.
Now that is what I call taking technology to the next level, it is both admirable and deserving of a Google Plus One.
