Google has just launched a new app aimed at bringing you fresh news content from over 180 different sources, all onto your mobile device. It's called Google Currents, and it's available for both iOS devices as well as Android devices, smartphones and tablets alike. The app is not just another news reader, but offers a smooth interface with 'current' news items. Some of the news items you'll find are from TechCrunch, ABC News, The Huffington Post and many more. Google Currents also provides access to pull in your Google Reader RSS subscriptions for easy viewing. It also gives access to Google Trending topics, where you can see the top 5 topics that are currently 'trending' across the news world. The app can download content for you for offline reading later to top the list of features. The downside is that this app is only 'currently' available in the U.S. (See what I did there)
The app is Free to download in both the iTunes App Store and the Android Market
