Google Service Inaccessible in China
Google services by the search giant are once again inaccessible to netizens in much of China, according to a report.
Google's own "transparency report" showed a significant drop in web traffic from China since Friday. The company's transparency report shows information about Google's web traffic from around the world.
A Google spokesperson in a statement said "We've checked and there's nothing wrong on our end."
Google has been warning people in China who use its search engine about searching for certain keywords that might trigger China's internet police, which include the names of top Chinese leaders, high profile dissidents, and references to the chaotic 1989 Tiananmen Square protests.
A number of netizens in China have reported problems accessing Google's search engine and its email service, Gmail.
Google had already experienced similar setbacks in China in the past, especially after the company stopped self-censoring its China-based search engine in 2010.
