Google Unveils "Most Googled Search" For 2012
Search giant Google has released the most searched topic on Google for this year, both globally and in the United States.
According to Google's report, the top-searched topic in Google for 2012 are the following:
1. Whitney Houston
2. "Gangnam Style"
3. Hurricane Sandy
4. iPad 3
5. Diablo 3 video game
6. Kate Middleton
7. 2012 London Olympics
8. Amanda Todd
9. Michael Clarke Duncan
10. "Big Brother Brazil 2012" TV show
Google has been compiling in-depth lists of the most popular searches from different countries around the world since year 2000, publishing them as the annual year-end Zeitgeist. This year's Zeitgeist is the most expansive to date, with 838 lists from 55 countries.
The list also becomes available in a just-released Google Zeitgeist Android app, with an iOS version coming soon.
