HP Starting Another TouchPad Fire Sale for $99
The HP TouchPad was one of those devices that should have lasted longer than it did, but that's not anyone's fault except for the "ants-in-their-pants" executives at HP who killed it off before it even took flight. When they killed the TouchPad, they put remaining stock on a 'fire sale' to make a little of expenses back and clear out storage space for all the Palm Pre smartphones they still aren't selling either. Gotta store them somewhere right? The TouchPad fire sale went better than HP could have expected, selling out all available stock within a matter of a few hours. They promised it would be back, and now they are true to their word.
Starting at 6PM CST on December 11th 2011, HP is putting the TouchPad back on sale with limited quantity for $99 or $149 (16GB or 32GB models respectively). You'll also have the option of buying an accessory bundle for an additional $79.99 which will include a wireless keyboard, dock and case for the TouchPad. The sale is only happening through HP's ebay store online, so you may want to skip Sunday Night Football for at least an hour.
