Microsoft Customer Satisfaction At 78% - Page 2
Windows itself showed a 4% loss in sales numbers last quarter mainly due to Windows PC sales dipping by about that same amount. Again, most of this in the cheaper Netbook and compact notebook genres.
Apple, on the other hand, has nearly always had high ACSI ratings, but those ratings didn't mean higher sales for the company. Apple computer sales were stagnant and the company was barely growing at all until it introduced the iPod and iPhone. Portables are where it's at for that company and the reason for its rocket-like rise in market share, value, and size.
So What Else Does ACSI Say?
ACSI numbers also point to lower customer satisfaction with customers of both AT&T and T-Mobile, which AT&T is attempting to buy. These are down to 66% and 70% respectively. The merger isn't likely to blame as ASCI notes that most companies do not lose share until after a merger is complete.
In other media, newspapers are holding their low of 65% satisfaction while network and cable TV news continue to rise (now at 77%).
