The social strosphere has been buzzing with feedback this week following new Facebook features, but the networking giant is about to get a strong dose of the social platform it created as users catch on to the upgrades Facebook is rollng out the red carpet on in the coming weeks.

Facebook Gets Redesigned from the Ground Up
Facebook has undergone many changes to its platform since it launched, but none have come close to touching the magnitude of the new Facebook profiles. Redesigned from the ground up, the new Facebook profile will take the social networking experience to an entirely new level. further proving that the last few years have only touched the tip of the social media iceberg.

Facebook Open Graph was expanded to improve the way its users share the story of their lives. After all, social sharing exists as a means to connect with others both near and far to share personal interests, stimulate discussion and discover new things. Looking back over the rise of the internet's top dog, countless millions of people have dedicated many hours, days, weeks and even years to curating the content shared on Facebook profiles. In the end, we see that this content falls off of our Facebook wall into an unknown oblivion. The idea behind the Facebook makeover is to ensure that its users are now able to store their life story on a digital platform to share with others who share the same interests.

5 Major New Features Introduced on Upgraded Facebook Profiles

Timeline – Essentially, displays an entire lifetime of history on a single page. Profile viewers can filter through updates by year, interests, apps and much more. The upgraded timelines provides a completely customized experience for each user depending upon individual interests. “Where you tell your story online is really personal. You invest a lot of time in it and you curate it. You link to it, and you tell your friends to find you there. So we wanted to make Timeline a place that you're proud to call your home. So Timeline is a completely new aesthetic feature for Facebook, and it starts with giving you the ability to highlight and curate all of your favorite stories to express who you really are,” stated Zuckerberg.
