OpenOffice.org Annual Conference Planned in Budapest
The OpenOffice.org community announced today its annual conference in Budapest, Hungary, from August 31 to September 3. This is also the 10th birthday of the OpenOffice.org project so I’m sure there will be additional activities added for this milestone achievement. The conference is where community project members meet and discuss the achievements for the past 12 months and the perceived challenges going forward.
If you are a fan or simply just interested in getting the inside scoop, save the dates and register to be on the official mailing list by sending an email to ooocon-discuss-subscribe@marketing.openoffice.org. There is also a Twitter account for updates at @ooocon.
The OpenOffice.org community is also open to suggestions for the 2011 conference location and this is also being discussed on the Twitter feed as well as at the OpenOffice.org site. Previous conference locations going back to 2003 can be seen on their website.
