RIM to Show Off BlackBerry PlayBook 2.0 at CES 2012

The moment many BlackBerry PlayBook fans have been waiting over 10 months for may finally be officially arriving at the CES 2012 show in Las Vegas next week. Research In Motion will be unveiling the hugely anticipated BlackBerry PlayBook 2.0 Operating System. PlayBook 2.0 will have everything that the first OS was missing, which was probably the sole cause for the devices lack of impressive sales over the past few months. Email, calendar, contacts and the ability to load Android Apps from BlackBerry App World are supposed to be all included in the update.
The PlayBook has been the subject of tablet criticism in 2011, but since RIM started unloading their stock shelves with $300 savings for each model of PlayBook, the tablet has seen a resurgence in popularity, particularly with the developer community as Developer beta PlayBook 2.0 was made available for testing along with the ability to repackage Android Apps for the PlayBook. This will be a widely viewed event if any, and could spell out a rise or sharp fall for the PlayBook going forward. To heat things up even more, BlackBerry 10 is also set to make it's early debut at MWC in February 2012, which is far sooner than expected by many. Is this the rebirth of a once great and innovative mobile company?
