RIM's PlayBook Set to Step in the Ring With the iPad
On April 19th, RIM plans to unleash the PlayBook Tablet on the competition while extending its attack from over 20,000 stores. These stores includes Best Buy, Staples, RadioShack and even Officemax. The PlayBook has been expected to make a strong impact in the consumer technology world. The same world that has been dominated by the ever popular IPad. The IPad has been estimated only to be sold from about half the number of locations than RIM plans to distribute the PlayBook.

Now in generation two stage, the IPad still has been the leader in the hands of consumers and is currently being tested in the business environment. The same place were RIM devices have thrived for years, and with this upcoming release it is estimated that the PlayBook will make a splash that will send ripples throughout the consumer world. Many companies use BlackBerries along with BES and is the perfect home for the PlayBook. Can this possibly be the device that will wound the image of the IPad and make way for other tablets like the Motorola Xoom and the ASUS Eee Pad to cut into the sales of the Apple camp? Only time will tell.
