A little over a week ago, we got to see just what RIM had in mind for their updated operating system for the BlackBerry PlayBook. Bringing in the new year with PlayBook OS 2.0 is something many of us have been looking forward to for many many months.

The new update is now rumoured to be rolling out beginning on February 17th 2012, and although this has not been confirmed with Research In Motion, Berry Review has it on good authority that we will in fact see the update Feb. 17th. Take this with a grain of salt I guess, but it does jive with RIM's commitment to bring the OS to us n February 2012. We'll all finally be able to have native email, calendar, contacts, improved keyboard functionality, Android Apps from App World and Bluetooth sharing among many others. I hope this rumour turns out to be fact.

You can have a look at the BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 walk through here, and you can also see why it's probably the best 7 inch tablet on the market here.
