SeeMail: A Picture Is Worth More Than a Thousand Words
A picture is worth a thousand words.
When we look at a picture, it will get us to smile. We’ll be looking back on a fond memory with good friends, family and maybe even a day that was a little more care free than today is able to be.
Sometimes we’ll look back at a picture and it’ll be so long ago that we might not remember who that person was behind us, where we’re at, or why the person next to us is making a sour face.
The thousand words that would describe those moments moment are just as valuable.
That’s where a cool app called SeeMail comes in.
This innovative new iPhone app allows us to add recorded messages, music, captions, and locations to each SeeMail message. We can also share them on Facebook and Twitter and draw our friends into our experiences.
Ward Chandler, CEO of SeeMail, has over 30 years of experience in creating and operating technology for finance and real estate. He’s here to tell us a little about SeeMail.
Isn’t it amazing that no one else has come up with this catchy name yet? Both e-mail and picture messaging have been around for a while now. SeeMail launched in March of this year.
“In all fairness, I’ve actually owned this domain name since June of 1998.” Ward said.
That would explain it. The internet was still in its infancy at that time.
“After selling my last business about two years ago, I wanted to get into mobile.” Ward said. “I could just see the explosion of mobile photo sharing; Instagram was just getting off of the ground at that time.”
Ward had identified a gap in the market of mobile photo sharing and drew inspiration.
“The inspiration came from some old family photos that I was looking at. They were photos that my dad had taken when I was a little boy. He loved taking pictures. He always wrote on the back of the pictures, he would write where it was and who was in the picture. I thought that would be a cool thing if that could be brought into the digital photo sharing world.”
In what Ward likes to describe as an “Aha” moment, he pulled off a great way for us to creatively add a few more touches to some already special moments.
