A VPN is not only an encrypted network that will prevent your online connections and activities from being monitored by cyber criminals, but it also comes with a really good firewall that can prevent you from going to malicious sites or getting malware. Starbucks isn’t the only one with free WiFi, and there isn’t evidence that says that these security issues are only specific to Starbucks. But, with a public WiFi network that anyone can access, it’s better not to take the risks. If a VPN can offer you better protection, so then why not take advantage of it?
