With just a couple months away for the release of the new iPhone 4S / 5, the iPhone 4 finally found its way to India, which was made available on May 27. Both Airtel and Aircel have the honor to be the smartphone providers.

Apple is offering both the 16GB for Rs 34,500 ($763) and Rs 40,900 ($905) for the 32GB version. However, a discount will be provided with a two years plan to reduce to the cost of buying the iPhone 4.

Hopefully, with the two years plan, customer will be able to buy it at a lower price.

India represents a huge market for iPhone sales. Recently India has rolled out a 3G Mobile Network to boost smartphones.  Now the question is whether Apple's smartphone will be affordable in a low wage economy.
