Tim Cook's Era at Apple: Will It be Even Better?
Last August Steve Jobs resigned as Apple's CEO and recommended Tim Cook as his successor as the new CEO of Apple. Sure enough, Apple's Board of Director named Tim cook as it's new CEO.
In Steve's resignation letter, he said "I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role." Now that Steve Jobs has been put to rest, we should begin to see a new version of Apple with Tim Cook at the helm.
The new version of Apple that I'm talking about is the same Apple that Steve Jobs lead from an "almost-dead" to "most valuable" company in the world, but Tim Cook will be tweaking the formula of these key areas that are "unpopular" to corporate culture.
PC World have listed these key areas;
- Tim Cook has been sending company-wide email addressed to the Apple "team," which Steve Jobs rarely did.
- Tim Cook also makes sure that he is involved in Apple's corporate reporting structures, promotions path, and other "administrative matters that never interested ... Jobs,"
- Jump started the Apple's Charitable Program, which Steve Jobs was against and "was opposed to giving money away".
These changes may appear to be "minor," but it looks like Tim Cook is slowly but surely leaving an indelible mark on Apple's culture, and yes I do believe "Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it."
