The day has finally arrived, today is the day Apple is going to announce some big software updates for its desktop and mobile products. Apple has also announced that it will be introducing a new cloud service called iCloud. iOS is one of the most used and fastest growing mobile operating systems in the world. It powers widely popular portable devices including iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. So what Apple is going to introduce today to change the operating system that changed the whole mobile space? Here are my last minute guesses.

Widgets

We have heard a lot of reports, rumors, and speculations that Apple is finally going to bring Android like widgets to its mobile operating system. i am not a big fan of widgets found on Android OS, but of course we expect everything a lot better from Apple than what Google has already delivered.

Revamped Notification system

iOS badly needs something that could replace its current notifications system that literally sucks. Apple has ignored this area of iOS since its release in 2007, and the time has finally arrived to change thing up if they want to compete with competitors head to head.

Voice Recognition

Apple is reported to integrate Nuance’s voice recognition technology into iOS. Android already features a very good voice recognition system built right into it and we know Apple will do anything to compete with that. Apple iOS currently has “Voice Control” feature but that is very limited and is not widely used by consumers and we know there is a lot that can be done in this particular area. We just hope that Apple will do it this time.

Twitter/Facebook Integration

Twitter and Facebook integration into iOS would be awesome, and we hope Apple introduces deep social networking integration into iOS. How nice it would be to share photos or videos from within your photos.app or to tweet or post a status update from message.app on your iPhone. I just hope Apple would do something in that area.
