Yahoo Slapped With A $2.7 Billion Verdict In Mexico

Search giant Yahoo was hit with a $2.7 billion court judgement at the 49th Civil Court of the Federal District of Mexico, according to a report.
The lawsuit was brought by plaintiffs Worldwide Directories, S.A. de C.V. and Ideas Interactivas, S.A. de C.V.
The plaintiffs alleged claims of breach of contract, breach of promise, and lost profits arising from contracts related to a yellow pages listing service.
Yahoo said it believes the plaintiffs' claims are without merit. The company also said the court ruling in Mexico was a "non-final judgement" and they'll vigorously pursue all appeals.
