Announced yesterday, Rackspace partners with cloud design and customization experts from Redmond, WA-based, Redapt, to compile the efficient cloud solution, with no unnecessary additives. Says Jim Curry, Rackspace general manager, “The combination of Redapt and Rackspace enables a customer to have a fully packaged private cloud off the shelf and operationally managed and supported by OpenStack experts – anywhere they choose.”

Rackspace Cloud: Private Edition will be received within 14 days of order placement through Rackspace, and requires only a customer's power and network connectivity for setup.
“Redapt will configure it…and Rackspace will take over the operation of the cloud and make certain it’s fully managed,” promises Scott Sanchez, Rackspace director of business development. In addition to providing hardware, Rackspace provides 24-hour support and operations assistance.
