First of all, for those who don't already subscribe to the Google Blog I am going to give you the KEY to Google's car, Google Drive, so you can pull it into your online storage garage. (Hint: You should subscribe to Google's Blog!)

Step 1:
Press Push to Start.

Step 2:
Allow Google to "Drive on Your Desktop" (Install the Program) by pushing the little button that will show up in your Google Docs after you hit the "Push to Start" button.

Step 3:
Follow the Instructions.

If you get an error message (which I did!) change the destination to the desktop! (It kept telling me that the directory already existed??)

Bam! Now you have Google's Car on your desktop, and you are ready to drive with 5GB of free space in Google's Cloud.

Why Google Will Drive Past DropBox

  • Google is Google!
  • The capabilities of Google Drive vs DropBox
  • Integration of a wide range of services
  • Businesses are already using Google's office "suite" and will want to capitalize on all inclusive product line (Sorry, DropBox!)
  • Google dominates the Web! (Sorry again, DropBox :( !!)

Now I know that there are people who will disagree, but because of the way Google is moving lately with social media, continued domination of the Web in general, and their continued development of products and services, unfortunately DropBox will lose a big share of the pie.

This is my prediction and I hope I ruffled some feathers, because I want your opinion! I want you to tell me I am wrong! Why? Because it shows you paid attention to what I wrote!

So, what if you want to pay?
25GB for $2.49/month
100GB for $4.99/month
1TB for $49.99/month

Well that is all for now. I will report back in a bit to update you on if my theory is correct or if THE OTHER GUYS were right.
