These days, sales, marketing and finance departments need to share real-time intelligence and insight to drive quality decision making. The lack of agility in business intelligence (BI) can be detrimental to an organization. But what BI tools are right for your needs?

Guided by the Business Intelligence Toolbox 5-step process, an organization can evaluate the market of available BI tools to ensure they choose the right solution. Business intelligence provider Indicee is a big proponent of this approach. I met with Bruce Bancroft, head of the company’s business development department at the All About the Cloud conference in San Francisco. I wanted to know how Indicee provides flexibility and agility for business users without an ongoing need for traditional business data solutions supported by IT departments.

According to Bancroft, Indicee has a complete cloud-based BI solution for rapid deployment and immediate results. The company’s solution was developed by industry experts with over 150 years of combined business intelligence experience. These experts have a background in early Crystal/Business Objects expertise, and have remained in the industry ever since. They know reporting.

Indicee’s BI tool platform solutions integrates with other cloud businesses, departments, CRM’s and marketing platforms, such as, Salesforce, Marketo, Twitter and Google Analytics. Bancroft explains, “Indicee’s cloud BI platform was designed entirely for business users instead of traditional BI tools managed by IT departments."

The company is fundamentally changing the way BI is architected by reducing complexity. Reporting in Indicee, for example, doesn’t require knowledge of any query language. Instead, it’s based on a question and answer approach using a proprietary “Question Panel.” For business, data exploration, report creation and sharing are all completely user-driven.
