Vertical Cloud Computing
Secondly, clients are expected to utilize cloud computing as a more efficient way to communicate and store data. Some industry observers predict that the next generation of cloud computing will involve “vertical cloud computing” in which virtual servers and databases will serve niche industries and specialized businesses. Thus, experts anticipate that vendors will further customize their solutions for targeted markets with unique challenges.
Ethernet systems and communications infrastructure are also seeing needs for standardization. At last month’s SIP Forum, keynote speakers offered their views on the importance of standardization, updated government legislation, data integrity, hardware, and security.
On its part, PCN Technology is anticipating future growth for its investors mainly because large enterprises that possess automation and control functions in their operations have a growing need to update their communications infrastructure and optimize operations by adopting new technologies. Additionally, the San Diego-based company serves the oil and gas industry.
“Over the last 12-18 months, PCN has seen consistent [and] measurable growth of product shipments, technology validations and engineering Alpha & Beta projects that have resulted in commercial integration activities. The company has a list of marquis customers growing within building management, oil and gas, energy, IT and other critical infrastructure markets,” said Karpenske upon his appointment as COO.
