Gadget Gifts Under $100 - Smart and Cool
$100 - There is nothing magic about the $100 price point but it’s a nice round number and opens up the field to some pretty cool stuff. Not much time left.
What are you waiting for, 2012?

A versatile speaker dock for iPod, iPhone, and iPads. $79.99

There are a lot of these gadgets for the iPad, but the thing I like about this one is: It works horizontally as well as vertically and it has a small footprint. Set it on a kitchen counter and watch your favorite Netflix shows while peeling carrots... of course while charging the unit at the same time.
The stereo speakers enhance music and videos. Download their free app for enhanced features, including: custom clock, weather display, custom alarm settings, nature sounds, photo slideshows with background music, and more.
This new iLive online store is chocked full of well priced Apple “iMedia” gadgets. It's worth checking out.

The Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch CTH460 $99

Do you know an artist that needs a gift? The search is over. (I want this one. I'm looking for a stocking big enough).
The Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch has both multi-touch and pen capabilities for sketching (and photo retouching). Wacom has made professional tablets for years. They are first rate.
Is $99 too much? - Well, they also have $69 versions, (the Wacom Bamboo Pen CTL460 with only pen input and the Wacom Bamboo Touch CTT460 that only has touch input).
The Bamboo provides multi-touch controls for Windows and Mac OS X and the pressure-sensitive stylus works great for simulating brushstrokes in painting programs. The CTH460 device automatically switches back and forth between touch and pen modes depending on which is in use.
Now they just need to work on those stupid product names.
