Google Nexus High-End Tablet Will Launch Within Six Months

Shortly after a fairly successful launch of the latest Samsung/Google device, the Galaxy Nexus, Eric Schmidt spoke with Corriere Della Sera, an Italian newspaper, to discuss many things Google related. Google opened a new set of offices there, and had the chance to let a few Google projects out of the bag.
Google plans to launch a voice command type service to rival Apple's Siri, which somewhat confirms the rumors of the secret Google project called "Majel". The biggest statement however that Eric made to the newspaper, is one that almost seems logical given the launch of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Also, its' purpose of unifying the smartphone and tablet experience into one operating system platform being the goal. With Android tablets all running Honeycomb OS, and a few manufacturers committing to releasing Android 4.0 tablets in 2012, it would make sense that Google look into building another popular device which runs the same type of 'True Google Experience' like the Nexus family of devices have for smartphones. A true ICS tablet is apparently in the works, and should be released within the next 6 months! Here's what Eric Schmidt told the newspaper;
"In the next six months we plan to market a tablet of the highest quality,"
Seeing as Samsung has had a couple of Nexus devices under it's belt, and is arguably the next best tablet device next to the Apple iPad 2, it would seem logical that Google continue their partnership with Samsung and have them build the "Nexus Tablet". It may also be that Motorola Mobility make the Google Tablet given the fact that Google is going through buyout phases of Motorola Mobility, and the Motorola Xoom was the first Android based tablet featuring Android 3.0 Honeycomb in 2011. Regardless of who builds the device, it is meant to compete directly with the Apple iPad 2, and iPad 3 in being a high-end tablet device.
