Hauppauge Digital, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAUP) who develops and manufactures HD video recorders and TV tuners has just launched their latest HD gaming recorder, the HD PVR 2 Gaming Edition.  Announced at the gamescom 2012 gaming show in Germany this week, the new device will have a list price of $169 and sport high definition HDMI and Component video recordings at up to 1080p30, plus HDMI 'no delay pass-through' that enables gamers to record gameplay on a TV monitor.

For gamers this is a logical step in the right direction, as they can now play and record with no delay, which has been a problem with much of the technology out there now, particularly live recordings.  Included in the packaging are all the cables (9 ft. USB, 2 6 ft. HDMI and specialized 6 ft. PS3 Component cable), hardware and software necessary to record either Xbox 360 or Sony PlayStation3 games in high definition. Gamers can also share their best video gameplay or tutorials to YouTube using Arcsoft's Showbiz application that is included and allows the recording and upload capabilities.
