iPhone 4S Pre-Orders Top One Million in First 24 Hours
One million people have pre-ordered iPhone 4S in just 24 hours after the smartphone was put on sale, Apple announced today. It is one the biggest milestone achieved by Apple to date. Even iPhone 4, the best selling smartphone for Apple which has sold more than the first three generation of iPhones combined, holds a 600,000 pre-orders record in a single day.
Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing said in a statement:
“We are blown away with the incredible customer response to iPhone 4S. The first day pre-orders for iPhone 4S have been the most for any new product that Apple has ever launched and we are thrilled that customers love iPhone 4S as much as we do.”
iPhone 4S comes with A5 Dual-core chip which makes it more faster than previous generations of iPhone. Also, it has new 8 MP camera with advanced optics with full 1080p HD resolution video recording.
One of the main reason of one million pre-orders of iPhone 4s on the first day is the new feature called 'Siri', an intelligent assistant that helps users get things done just by asking. People will be able to simply ask iPhone by speaking to do specific tasks like sending messages, setting an alarm, making an event etc and the iPhone will respond back in real time.
iPhone 4s, which comes in both white and black color, will be available to buy in the USA at 8 a.m. local time on Friday, October 14.
Once people get iPhone 4s, they will be looking for iPhone 4S Jailbreak. Also, iPhone 4S includes iOS 5, for which hackers have already found exploits. iOS 5 untethered jailbreak might be released soon after iPhone 4S arrives.
