iPhone Ranks 1st In Smartphone Reliability
A recent study showed that Apple's iPhone is the most reliable smartphone compared to the likes of Samsung, Nokia and Motorola handsets, according to a Mashable report.
The original report came from FixYa. Here are some excerpts to that FixYa report: "Recent stock slide notwithstanding, Apple has been the top dog in the smartphone market since the company revolutionized the realm by introducing the world's first touchscreen smartphone in 2007"..."And despite the recent angst surrounding Apple and its lack of exciting new products or revolutionary foresight, the iPhone is still the most popular single smartphone model."
The report went on further to claim that its report was based on the survey of their FixYa users showing the Apple iPhone ahead of Samsung, Nokia and Motorola-made smartphones in three categories, namely, a dead simple user interface (UI), reliability, and app ecosystem.
The FixYa report concludes that its head to head reliability survey shows that Apple has a score of 3.47, Samsung with a 1.21 score, Nokia with a 0.68 score, and Motorola with a 0.13 score.
However, the above report also shows that Apple's iPhone has also received some setbacks from its users including the lack of customizability, short battery life (iPhone 4S), and lack of new features with new models.
According to FixYa, the above number reflects the 72.51 percent combined market share and 722,558 combined problem impressions on these phones, with market share data courtesy of statcounter.org.
