Santa Clara based Jackery just announced the release of two new batteries that provide mobile users with up to 220 hours of extra 'juice'. One the most frustrating things about smartphones is their inability to hold a charge for an entire day, especially for heavy users, unless charged throughout the day or the use is scaled back. The Jackery Bar and Jackery Mini both provide a small, lightweight (both under 5.5 ounces) fast charging rechargeable battery pack enclosed in a stylish aluminum case designed to sustain the rigors of real life use - and provide the peace-of-mind that comes with having extra charging capabilities without scrambling for power outlets.

The Jackery Bar is a bit bigger and packs more charge than the Mini, providing up to 120 hours of extra operational time versus the 50 hours for the Mini. Jackery's Bar weighs 5.4 ounces and sports a 2.1A output operating at 5600mAh and retails for $39.95 on Amazon.

The 2600 mAh Mini, which is even more portable weighs less than 3 ounces and is currently the smallest external device battery on the market measuring 3.7 inches by 0.9 inches. This makes it the perfect size for throwing in your pocket, purse or wherever else, and is capable of fully charging an iPhone5 on a full cycle. You can pick up a Jackery Mini on Amazon for $29.95 retail.

"The Bar and Mini are powerful and fast-charging external batteries that give users on the go the peace of mind to know their devices can remain operable for extended periods," said Julie Wang , Chief Operating Officer of Jackery. "With our products, users get an immediate power boost that does not require scrambling to find an outlet. We envision consumers will purchase multiple products due to the convenience of on-the-go charging that is attainable at a very attractive pricing point. They'll buy a Jackery Bar for business trips and a Jackery Mini for fast charging around town and wonder how they ever lived without them."

The external batteries are compatible with Android and iOS smartphones and tablets, as well as WIndows8 phones, tablets, gaming devices and other MP3 players.
