New buzz and rumors regarding the creation of a mini-iPad by Apple resurfaces again. In fact, talks about is still much alive and it just won't quit. Is the iPad mini already in the works?

According to a new report, Apple is planning to launch the mini-iPad with a 7.85-inch screen display in August of this year. If this is to be believed, that is just three months away from now, folks!

In addition, a leading technology and gadgets news blog has this interesting and spicy report about the mini-iPad, with more specifics about it can be found on their site:

"We expect the upcoming iPad mini to have interesting features including a screen size between 7.0-inch to 8.0-inch range, a "resolutionary" display of 1,024 x 768 pixels, and the device may possibly make use of Samsung's OLED technology".

It is also believed that Apple wants to test the water on creating a smaller version of the iPad in order to follow the trend and to satisfy the consumer's ever-growing like and demand for a smaller tablet like that of Amazon's Kindle Fire, which is very portable and light and would fit in many handbags.

Meanwhile, the late Steve Jobs was quoted as saying, "The 7-inch tablets are tweeners, too big to compete with a smartphone and too small to compete with an iPad." Jobs seemed not to be so inclined to create a smaller iPad when he said that, but hey, Apple with a new CEO on their helm, must still go forward to think and create innovative new ways and means to tickle and to satisfy the fancy of the modern consumers.
