Microsoft Extends Offer Of Free XBox 360 To Students

Owning a personal computer is an absolute neccessity for students nowadays. Computers make students life easier and more productive. If you're a parent, or a student shopping to buy a new computer, wouldn't it be exciting to receive a free XBox 360 with your computer purchase?


Good news for you! According to a report, Microsoft has announced the return of its student offer that allow students buying a qualifying Windows 7-based PC to also get a free XBox 360 4GB console!

A Windows 7-based PC and an Xbox 360 player console provide students the functionality they need for school while also helping them stay connected to friends and family far away, according to Microsoft.

The company also adds that Windows 7-based PCs come in a wide variety of styles, sizes and colors, such as the Dell XPS 13, HP Envy 15 and Samsung Series 5 Ultra. It also said that with an Xbox 360 console, students can have fun gaming while also enjoying a range of entertainment options, including streaming videos, sports, music and more.

This offer is available to all current students in the U.S. and Canada while supplies last. Students or their parents must provide valid student identification and must adhere to the terms and conditions provided by the participating retailers.

Participating retailers in the U.S. include NewEgg, Microsoft Stores, HPDirect, Dell, Fry's Electronics and Best Buy, but may change over the course of the promotion, according to Microsoft.

In Canada participating retailers include The Source, Staples, Future Shop, Dell and Best Buy. No mention as to when this promotion is going to end.
