Microsoft Office Apps Headed to the iPad Soon?

According to The Daily, Microsoft may have a few tricks up their sleeve to get more involved in the App market. No, it's not for Windows 8 tablets or devices, at least not yet anyway. Sources say it will be for the Apple iPad.
It makes perfect sense considering that MS Office Suites will rack up a nice $15 billion in 2011. The Office Suite from Microsoft is their biggest revenue stream after the sale of their Windows Operating Systems. Pairing this powerhouse onto hardware currently dominating both App Revenue within it's App Store and the dominance Apple has in the tablet race, only solidifies why Microsoft would want to do this.
Comments were requested, but Microsoft neither denied nor confirmed about whether they are working on Office Apps for iOS. A Microsoft representative had this to say;
"We already deliver Office on multiple platforms and devices and are committed to expanding in the future, but have nothing further to share today."
Having Office Apps on the iPad would turn the already successful and highly profitable Suite of applications into a huge win for Microsoft, getting them into another stream of revenue with current trends instead of having to rely on the sale of PC's to keep Office Sales up.
