New iPad Models Reported To Make Debut In January 2012
We may not be seeing a new Apple iPad 7.85inch in 2012, but it's certain we'll be seeing a new iPad as successor to the iPad 2. Now we have reports that we'll not only get to see this new iPad sooner than expected, but that we'll see two new iPad models at a press conference in January 2012! Digitimes' sources say that the new models will be a mid-range iPad and a high-end iPad model.
The new iPads are stated to both have the new displays we heard about at 9.7inches with 2,048 x 1,536 pixel density, double what the current iPads have. The displays will also both be dual-LED backlit displays, but any other details are not available unfortunately. All this said though means that the iPad 2 prices will take a dip after the new iPad models are publically available, which will be awesome seeing as it is still the definitive tablet on the market.
