Built in cameras within mobile devices have been getting one-upped by mobile carriers and now, Nokia has managed to leave competitors in the dust with their new release of a 41 Megapixel Camera within the new Nokia Pureview 808. And as you can imagine, the phone is equipped with unsurpassed video and sound quality to make the entire media production experience the best ever.

Many features that were previously only available on stand-alone camera products now comes standard in the Nokia Pureview 808, including automatic fill flash, and a wide range Xenon flash, enormous focal length, various focus options, as well as shooting modes and face detection abilities. Nokia is surely producing a game changer with this release commanding all other providers to up their game, while even potentially swaying some iPhone users to test out this new release.

Many reviews are inadvertently fudging the numbers. Make no mistake; the megapixels on this camera is 41, not 4.1. Come on, it is 2012, right? Phones with 4.1 megapixel cameras are so 2008. Getting all excited about this release that is scheduled to take place some time in May could possibly be in vain for those in the United States and Canada. According to a developer page on the Nokia site, a reference was made indicating that the release may not be available in the US, Canada, or Mexico for that matter.

PC Magazine actually addressed this in a recent article where lead mobile analyst, Sascha Segan reported, "Symbian is also not very popular among U.S. operators, making the PureView unlikely to come to a U.S. carrier."
