Review: Bump Wireless Speakers by Aluratek
Aluratek's Bump Wireless Speakers solve two problems that most speakers bring: space and wiring. The Bump speaker is about the size of a small coffee cup and there are absolutely no wires at all.
To use your Bump speaker with your computer, your turn the power switch on the speaker and plug the USB transmitter into your computer. It is that easy. You can then move the speaker as far as 60 feet (as it says on the box, but has gone farther in testing) and loud quality music comes out.
The Bump speaker can also be attached to most MP3 devices with the included audio cable. This is a great way to play music from your MP3 for a group.
Bump Speakers work on Windows 2000, 2003, XP, Vista & 7 and MAC OS 9.x or later. The wireless transmitter is 2.4GHz. The retail price is $79.
Another product in the Bump Speaker line is the Bump Digital MP3 player which can be bought with or without the Wireless Speaker. This music player is approximately the same size and shape as the speaker, is compatible with most MP3 players and has an FM tuner. The use of this mini boombox with the speaker can be a complete mini wireless stereo system. This digital player is available for $99 with the wireless speaker and $49.99 by itself.
Why would you want a large speaker when a small one can do a great job? Why would you want to deal with wires when you can go wireless? I've tried out the Bump Wireless Speaker and was very happy with the quality. I'm sticking with small and wireless.
