Stylish, Next-Gen Cinema 3D Glasses Is Coming!
LG Electronics recently announced its newest collection of 3D glasses, to be unveiled in the first quarter of 2012. LG claims their new 3D glasses are affordable, lighter, and more comfortable to wear, with features such as curved lenses and clean frame structure for a stylish look and feel.
Furthermore, unlike other 3D glasses, the new LG 3D glasses are designed to better accommodate the shape of the user's face, as well as to improve the overall cinema 3D viewing experience. The next generation 3D glasses are unique to 3D TVs based on Film Patterned Retarder (FPR) technology.
LG's 3D glasses collection includes the F310, a distinctive design that combines soft lines within a slim frame which weighs a mere 13.5 grams, the clip-on F320, an ultra light version which only weighs 5.5 grams, and the half-rim frame design and sportier Alain Mikli F360, which weighs 16 grams.
LG plans to continue its success on 3D glasses by sponsoring a series of 3D film and gaming events in 2012 in order to introduce its 3D glasses collection and the cinema 3D experience to consumers around the world. FPR's unobtrusive technology played a key role in the company's success in 3D TVs.
LG's 3D glasses can also be worn in theaters showing 3D movies since both cinema 3D and theaters utilize the same FPR and RealD technologies.
LG and eyewear designer Alain Mikli wants to transform the wearing of 3D glasses from being a burdensome requirement to watch 3D movies, into becoming a user-friendly and stylish hi-tech accessories.
