And, with the CrunchPad named by Popular Mechanics as one of the 10 Most Brilliant Products of 2009 despite never having had a public demonstration of a beta, many entrepreneurs resented how simple Arrington declared it would be to deliver this supposedly game-changing device.
While many of the posted comments and tweets following today’s announced demise of the mythical CrunchPad reflected sadness and frustration at the failure of the product to materialize, there was also no shortage of messages expressing delight that Arrington could not pull this product over the finish line using his trademark brutish style and force of will.
Comments posted on TechCrunch, Gizmodo and other popular gadget sites like Wired lamented “when is the world going to stop giving a crap about Mike Arrington?” and “Arrington will always be a drama queen.” Fakesteve.net wrote “Just stick to blogging.
