AT&T Exposes Over 100k iPad Buyers' Email Addresses

Um, oops?
According to Gawker, Apple has had a bit of an issue with a couple of email addresses. As in, oh, 114,000 email address of iPad owners, including CEOs, politicians, military officials, and, well, lots of others.
People like Diane Sawyer, NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and even Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel appear to be on the list of exposed names, all of which are now vulnerable to spam or potential hacking attempts.
The breach came from AT&T's side of things, though of course users couldn't give a damn about that - all they know is they put their email addresses in when they authenticated their iPads, and now they're out in the wild, probably getting drunk and fooling around with other email addresses.
The hole, which AT&T confirmed existed, has been closed, but I'm thinking the 114,000 folks that have just had their email addresses grabbed by Goatse Security don't much care.
Kinda makes you thing twice about blindly trusting personal information to smartphones, no? Now I gotta go, have a call on my Blackberry, and need to Tweet from my Android handset.
