The not-so-well-rated app "Blackboard Learn" will cease to function and sync beginning June 15, 2010. It will no longer be available for download from the Apple's iTunes Store or on individual devices. Fortunately, the app will be replaced with Blackboard Mobile Learn.

Blackboard Mobile LearnBlackboard makes software that schools can purchase to improve productivity among students and teachers. It can be used to improve security of campus safety and security technology, allow students to access their grades, assignments, and teacher/class information, and improve communication between school administrators and students. Blackboard Mobile simply brings all these technologies in the palm of your hand.

The new version will have a new interface and be compatible with more devices. The older app wasn't available for Android, Blackberry, and iPad. However, this app is available for iPad right now and Android, Blackberry, and iPhone will be available in June. To stay tuned, sign up here.
