Google Releases Chrome 5 to Stable Channel
Google has announced the immediate availability of an update to its Chrome open source browser, to version 5.0.375.55.
Released to the Stable channel for Linux, Mac, and Windows, version 5, which was previously available only in the beta channel, brings new features included syncing of browser preferences, a welcome HTML5-based freshening of the bookmarks manager, an extensions manager, and some HTML5 features like Geolocation APIs and file drag and drop.
You can also use drag and drop at Gmail (for attachments) and play with the geolocation functionality in Google Maps.
There are also security and stability updates included in the current version. More information is available at the Google Chrome Blog. Look for a button to update under the wrench icon/About Google Chrome.
