American Food as "Ethnic" Cuisine

You know those vague "ethnic" sections in supermarkets that lump together all the food that doesn't fall under the typical rubric of American home cooking? Well, hey, guess what? They have those in other countries, too!

And, believe it or not, there's a section for "American" food in the "ethnic" section. Now, what great American culinary traditions are being celebrated in the aisles of this German (?) grocery store? Oh, wait, Jesus, really? This is what they think of us?
