Andy Samberg Parody Video
Don't get me wrong, I've been a fan of Andy Samberg and The Lonely Island since "Lazy Sunday" first aired on SNL in December 2005. When I saw it for the first time, it really was fresh and exciting. I dug into the TLI archives and watched everything they'd done religiously, turning my friends on to "Stork Patrol," "Just 2 Guyz," and more.
But somewhere along the line, the group's schtick started to get a little predictable. I still think the Digital Shorts are among the best things SNL has aired in the last several years, but that doesn't mean this parody by the comedy group Landline isn't right on the money. No offense, Andy, but you gotta freshen' up your act a little bit.
So here's the parody and, for comparison, a little classic TLI action in the form of the "Stork Patrol" video. Still a total winner, in my opinion.
