Deck the Halls! 2012 Christmas Brings Songified Flash Mobs

With last minute Christmas shopping comes crowded malls, filled with people waiting, bored, in lines. What better place for dance companies and singing ensembles to come together and spread Christmas cheer.

Here's a sampling of singing and dancing flash mobs that have sprouted up across the country, as the big day approaches.

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU

Students from the National Academy of Singing and Dancing Arts descended upon the food court of the Northland Mall in Christchurch, New Zealand on Dec. 18th, and belted this sporty one out to unsuspecting diners.

DECK THE HALLS
Performed by a group of WestJet employees on Dec. 4th in the D-wind boarding area of Calgary International Airport, moments before the departure of a red-eye flight travelling to Toronto.
JOYFUL, JOYFUL WE ADORE THEE
Performed on Nov. 14th by Journey of Faith, at the South Bay Galleria in Redondo Beach, California.
CHRISTMAS MEDLEY
Tara Scott and Angie Guice brought together over 500 shoppers and singers on Dec. 16th, at the Sooner Mall of Norman, Oklahoma, with renditions of Joy to the World, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, Go tell It on the Mountain and O Holy Night.
